An aperitif made from Gentian, an aromatic plant used as a bittering agent in a whole slew of French and Italian digestives. Suze has a round body and vegetal flavors, much like eating Dandelion greens, but it offers gently sweet citrus tones like those of Pomelo and Grapefruit which brings it all together for a balanced and bittersweet profile. Super versatile when used in cocktails, this can serve as a solid replacement for Campari when searching for a bitter that’s a lot less aggressive. Mix this with your favorite gin and blanc vermouth for an exceptional White Negroni.
