Not to be confused with American bison, the African Buffalo is an animal that can adapt to a wide variety of habitats, runs up to 37 miles per hour and literally cannot be tamed. Over their roughly two-decade lifespan, they hang around in herds that “vote,” while grazing on lands that are increasingly threatened by human development.
